YOUNG ELDERS

YOUNG ELDERS

India's young population will not be youthful forever. The numbers of "young elders", that is, people who are sixty-five to seventy-two, are going up rapidly. As for the really old, those who are ninety and above, they, too, are growing in numbers.

But let her, at sixty, even attempt to have a romance after being widowed, and she will find herself to be the target of all kinds of wagging tongues. A widower, however, is encouraged to remarry, at any age.
