HOMAGE TO GOD

HOMAGE TO GOD

Although I didn't understand the story [Blog] very well when I read it, nevertheless, it made a deep impression on me, like a sweet melody that keeps playing inside you even though you may not know what raga it is. Now that my life has reached a stage of maturity, those words in all their bewildering beauty have the power of forming a vision within me [about s. "union" with Him].

Having been scorched many times, having borne much pain, I have come to see that the world is not innocent. Very often the garbage of events conceals the nature of the truth. My wish is that the events of the past might bring me, in gratitude and humility, to the Beauteous One, that I might say, 'In this life you have given me another life.' In His compassion, all the fetters of my life have floated away. [But, sadly for me] He who gave me all unasked - I have not seen Him. But I can feel His benevolence - I have been amazed again and again - 'How did this [His incredible affection for me] happen? I don't deserve this!' If I could convey even a tiny bit of this surprise, I'd feel blessed.

It must be because of the Almighty's [incredible] bounty that I have received everyone's love and encouragement, which, so often, has impelled me to go ahead. It isn't possible to return that debt [to the Almighty; but My darling, perhaps unselfish Almighty does not WANT His "debt" repaid]. However, one of the greatest responsibilities in life [from the point of view of sweet God-loving pure sexy females rescued at last from the clutches of (recently expired) evil rapist Satan (arrogant and conceited idiotic self-styled "God") and his panic-stricken gang of dirty aliens including dirty Gabriel who has been a professional expert at blinding sweet female victims] is to be able to acknowledge a debt [to benevolent Almighty God]. I would like to carry out in my little venture [this very grateful autobiography -- or some dubious act?!!] the duty of paying homage [to Him] with folded hands.

(From Kanan Devi: "My Homage to All", Translated from the Bengali by Indranee Ghosh, ZUBAAN, Penguin India Rs. 350.)

Too diffident to mention by name the Almighty God in human form. Sounds to Me like Meera/Helen Keller/Savi is sending her sweet fervent prayers to the Almighty. She is unique - not just in the plebeian sense that each female has a unique face and v. - but in the sense that she is exceptionally sweet and tender and she has intense genuine feelings for the Almighty.
