[A few minutes ago, I posted this comment on a YouTube video with a Jesus-like picture (named something like EWBOXER 247 or a similar number; I cannot locate the video anymore; next time I will take the trouble to note the name of any YouTube video I comment on) by a very sad and charming young white woman who is obviously a strong champion of black Americans coz the sweet and pensive gal claims God and Jesus to be black and she also says that black Americans are the original Hebrews of Israel who went to west Africa from where they were brought to America as slaves. However, I firmly believe that God and Jesus et al can change their skin color like chameleons supposedly can!]

Intriguing. Unusual exposition by an exceptionally kind and passionate "White Woman." (By the way, I believe that the late Satan and his gang of aliens altered human genes millions of years ago to change the skin colors of male and female humans at will and to introduce death and disease and aging in humans. Our top scientists will make the necessary corrections, I am sure.) - G

NEVER heard before that charming novelist Chetan Bhagat is "the most hated" author in India. First time I hear this, from this charming gal who is trying to defend Chetan Bhagat - but does he need to be defended at all? Chetan Bhagat's racy novels have an Indian background and are written in simple English, so his very interesting novels can be easily understood by any Indian who knows high school English. No wonder Chetan Bhagat's bestsellers are so popular in India. (I use "charming" to describe all females coz I think "charming" is a safe word to use for females; doesn't generate needless jealousy, I think.) - G

I hardly ever post book reviews. I have never received a free copy by any author, Indian or foreign. I am a bibliomaniac and all the two thousand or three thousand well-chosen books of fiction and non-fiction in My personal library have been bought with My own money. I have never been contacted so far by any author or publisher or periodical to write reviews of books. I am not a Book Thief: I have never stolen a single book from any home or library. I have only borrowed books from libraries or asked a library staff member to lend Me a book from a library. I had left several valuable books of Mine in the house of My uncle Sankar Sinha in Oak Park, Chicago (where I lived with his family for two years) when I left America and returned to India, which I hoped he would later send back to Me in India, which have been donated to Oak Park library by My uncle, according to him. Several precious books have been stolen from My personal library. I miss those valuable and out-of-print books.

Indian students and professors have an exceptionally reverential attitude to books and learning. I am very fortunate that I grew up as a Student in this country that has such a respectful attitude to learning and scholarship, a country that wonderfully declared long ago: स्वदेशे पूज्यते राजा, विद्वान सर्वत्र पूज्यते. - G

(I am not interested in answering puerile questions like is Sonia etc. > = < Natasha etc. The answer should be obvious from the fact that I call ALL females "charming". Level playing field. Balancing act. - G)

Can't make head or tail of this! What on earth is this guy saying? Translation please! Who IS this guy? Perhaps he is the humorist Anurag Mathur (like Me, an alumnus of snobbish St. Stephen's College, Delhi), author of the delightful novel THE INSCRUTABLE AMERICANS (the funny hero of the novel is perhaps based on Me Who did not date a single gal in America), the funniest novel I have read so far. Is Anurag Mathur actually saying in a very funny manner in this mock business presentation video that he has been neglected for many years but now there is a CRAZE to buy his funny novel? Novelist Ravi Subramanian is a fascinating speaker. Poet Pritish Nandy is of course a veteran. Novelists Chetan Bhagat and Ashwin Sanghi - and Amish Tripathi ! - have very warm and lovable personalities. (I have a predilection for romantic novels and for thrillers by foreign AND Indian novelists writing in English! Of course, poems give a wholly different kind of memorable thrill.) - G

I have not read the novel "One Indian Girl", which seems to be a recent publication. It seems to Me as if "One Indian Girl" by Chetan Bhagat and "The Witch of Portobello" by Paulo Coelho have both been ghost-written by Radha/Kunti/etc. [in Indian English] in her latest reincarnation! - G

For a very interesting fictional characterization of Kunti and other important characters of the Mahabharat, read THE GREAT INDIAN NOVEL by Shashi Tharoor. (I bought and read the entertaining novel about two or three years ago.)

THE WITCH OF PORTOBELLO

I bought a copy of Paulo Coelho's "The Witch of Portobello" today [May 17, 2017]. On page 13 of the novel, I find this stunning paragraph:

If a man we don't know phones us up one day and talks a little, makes no suggestions, says nothing special, but nevertheless pays us the kind of attention we rarely receive, we're quite capable of going to bed with him that same night, feeling relatively in love. That's what we women are like, and there's nothing wrong with that - it's the nature of the female to open herself to love easily.

Gosh! Is this the attitude of terrestrial witches, which would be understandable, or is this really the attitude of ALL women towards ALL men? (Or is this perhaps their common attitude to A Very Frustrating Unreachable Target?)

English is the world's most powerful language. The greatest contribution the British rule made to India was the introduction and popularization of English throughout India. Without honest patriotic English-educated Indians, Indians would have continued to live in an unending permanent dark age, and would have continued to be cheated and oppressed and tortured indefinitely by aliens in human disguise; thanks to English in particular, the gang of nasty male and female aliens will soon become extinct. Shashi Tharoor speaks English fluently as evident from his speeches on YouTube and writes fluent English as evident from THE GREAT INDIAN NOVEL by Shashi Tharoor.

Tom Richey is a fascinating lecturer on YouTube, who is equally at home in philosophy and history. I have just finished listening to his interesting three-part video lecture series on Hitler and his fourth YouTube lecture entitled Trump and Hitler Compared 19:20. I came across an interesting new term - Godwin's Law - which I had never heard before - "Godwin's Law says that if an online discussion goes on long enough, the probability of a comparison to Hitler or Nazis becomes more and more certain." I never heard of this guy called Godwin - so I searched YouTube under "Godwin's Law" - the first video I watched turned out to be a comedy show in which urbane humorist Stephen Fry (I have the impression that humorist Stephen Fry is a Cambridge don or an actor or both) and other co-humorists participate! This guy Godwin is supposed to be someone associated with Wikipedia but I suspect that Godwin's Law is actually a clever way of saying GOD WINS !

Romila Thapar is a charming lady who speaks beautiful fluent English. I first saw charming historian Romila Thapar many years ago when I attended an interesting talk she gave at Dibrugarh University in Assam, India, where she had been invited by the university to give a talk on a historical subject. I remember being very impressed by her sweet face and her graceful figure and by her mellifluous English. (I was then a young M.Sc. Physics Student at Dibrugarh University. By the way, if you know a little mathematics, you will conclude that the age of the "oldest" female on Earth - for example Eve and other females like her who are billions of years "old" - would be practically zero compared to God's infinite age because if any number is divided by infinity the result is zero!)

In this YouTube discussion, charming and scholarly Romila Thapar defines a "public intellectual". (I guess I am regarded as The World's Most Celebrated Public Intellectual!) Towards the end of their very interesting discussion on YouTube, she confesses her admiration for modern technology [she means the Internet and YouTube, I am sure - G], keenly senses the arrival of Utopia, and puts her faith in "The Hero Who leads you on", "A Strong Person", "Somebody Up There"! (I am sure everyone knows Who that Strong Hero is! - G)

The date of this YouTube video - May 15, 2017 - seems to be more or less truthful, if not the exact truth. The dates of many YouTube videos seem to be very wilful and arbitrary, making lighthearted applications of Einstein's theory of the relativity of time, and, I hear, making use of software applications that can give a FAKE date of uploading a video! (FAKE names are a common feature of Facebook, I hear! I don't use Facebook or Twitter coz I don't want to get involved with females!)

One valuable thing I learned from this message in regard to Comments K: "Comments have been disabled for this video." That means I can upload an audio on YouTube without asking for anyone's comments, as in this blog on Blogger, coz the comments made on YouTube videos under K are generally very childish and unscholarly!

By the way, when I want to post comments on any YouTube videos, I can post them here on My Blogger blog!

It seems to Me that YouTube - besides My blog - is rapidly becoming the most popular and interesting substitute for the boring classroom and the noisy TV  news channels! For Me, YouTube has recently become My most delightful source of learning and entertainment, thanks to the amazing 4G and 3G offers made available to Me and others by Jio 4G, Vodafone 4G/3G, Airtel 4G/3G, Reliance 3G (I have all of these sims). Maybe I should soon avail myself also of tempting offers by Idea 4G and BSNL 3G and Aircel 3G as well. YouTube is the most delightful (man-made) thing to date besides (God-made) v. What a dirty mind! I am ashamed of You, Man!

Excellent review of "A Suitable Boy" by Vikram Seth. - G

Kate concludes that this novel is the author's "love letter" to India, which makes Me suspect - although I have not read the complete novel yet but have only read a few interesting pages of the novel in a local library (I will buy and read the novel as early as possible, after having listened to this very appetizing review of the novel) - that this novel could be an allegorical "love letter" from Eve to God. (As far as I know, God in His present human form has not sent or received a single "love letter" to and from any female in His present terrestrial avatar. But how do I know that?!!)

I read somewhere about a well-known Indian author writing in English who is blind. Vikram Seth? Forgive Me if I am wrong. - Sorry, the well-known author's name is Ved Mehta.

The kith and kin of foxy hippies Y and Z are also foxy. Even God would have a tough time NOT getting duped by these hippy families, not to speak of poor humans and aliens! Why do I say this? What have they tried to do with Me?!! For one thing, they tried to make a fool of Me. They experimented with My mind - they made Me their Guinea Pig, the subject of their unique mind power experiment, an experiment that turned out to be a sensational success! But the point I want to stress is that these "hippies" are capable of making a FOOL of anyone, including God Himself (temporarily) and of course any human or alien (permanently).

God knows if her other YouTube videos have genuine publication dates, coz I suspect that many of the YouTube videos I have watched recently have publication dates that are probably fictitious dates, figments of a fertile imagination, aping the hoary tradition of fictitious names used by Facebook users! But this is OK by Me, if the intent of using fictitious dates is to fool Me! As if I can be fooled by anyone! - G]

My comment on her video:

Nowadays, every female thinks she ALONE deserves God's pity and compassion. She is being foolishly possessive, forgetting that God is The Great Equalizer Of Females. More important, He cannot afford at the moment to waste His valuable time in silly pursuits. Perhaps in future when eternal youth and immortality have become universal. - G

SALMAN RUSHDIE

Salman Rushdie, winner of the Booker Prize for literature, is a terrific writer. I remember reading several years ago amusing passages from his novel "Midnight's Children" (if I remember right) giving delicate and amusing descriptions of the female v. I was very amused. And his highly dramatic memoir (I own a beautifully printed hardbound copy of the novel) reads like an engrossing thriller! (I was told by a young educated Indian many years ago that Salman Rushdie is the stylized spelling of Suleiman Rashid! Quite possible, I think, considering that My surname Sinha is a stylized version of an Indian word for lion: Singh - Singha - Sinha! Similarly, Banerjee, Chatterjee, and Mukherjee are modern stylized spellings of Bandyopadhyay, Chattopadhyay, and Mukhopadhyay, respectively. Our teacher in school, probably noticing the lethargy of the boys in class, told us a joke about a guy telling his friend: "In our office we have Banerjee, Chatterjee, and Mukherjee, but we have NO ENERGY!"

Half Girlfriend

Does half girlfriend mean mistress? There is a nice difference between Mistress and mistress: 1) Mistress (Mrs.) = wife; 2) mistress = a kept woman. (What is a kept woman? Don't act innocent. I hate hypocrisy. What is hypocrisy?) What's the difference if any between a mistress and a pros.? I guess a mistress is probably a higher-ranking, privileged pros.

I like being blunt and clear when necessary.

V. S. NAIPAUL

I bought a paperback edition of the interesting novel A House for Mr. Biswas by V.S. Naipaul many years ago and I remember that I enjoyed reading the novel very much. V.S. Naipaul, who is an eminent writer of Indian origin, received the prestigious Nobel Prize for Literature.

Girish Karnad's attack on 'anti-Muslim' VS Naipaul   8:16

Comments are disabled. Good. I like that. No scope for very childish and immature, foolish, scurrilous comments in sloppy English, full of spelling mistakes and grammatical mistakes!.. By the way, the title might make you think it is something VS - Versus - Naipaul, but I think it is actually V.S. Naipaul, but from the titles of some YouTube videos under V.S. Naipaul, I get the impression that he is generally regarded - I don't know by how many - as anti-gals, anti-everything! I have no such impression about V.S. Naipaul, a novelist (of Indian origin) who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, and I was surprised to learn a few minutes ago from a Google search, was also awarded the Booker Prize! Who is Booker, I wonder - Man Booker - but what a strange name! Man Booker! The reason I am not biased against V.S. Naipaul is that I have so far only read his delightful novel A House for Mr. Biswas! When I was a Student of prestigious snobbish St. Stephen's College, Delhi many years ago (why the capital S in Student - you know why), where it seemed to Me that the goal of all students was to become an IAS, I saw in a hostel room a list of English books recommended by a top IAS coaching centre/center of Delhi and in that list I saw among other listed books V.S. Naipaul's An Area of Darkness and an interesting book on world history by van Loon entitled The Story of Mankind. I have the impression that V.S. Naipaul's An Area of Darkness is a bitter book, but truth is often bitter, like effective medicine which is bitter!

Two wonderful Indian authors writing in English who write astonishingly beautiful and fluent English whose writings I enjoy tremendously are the humorist R.K. Narayan (one of his novels was turned into a Hindi film, GUIDE, many years ago) and the mordant critic Nirad C. Chaudhuri. (I had the privilege of attending a delightful talk by invited speaker Nirad C. Chaudhuri at St. Stephen's College. I was astonished to hear his amazingly fluent English.) The wise and humane scholar, historian, journalist, short story writer and novelist Khushwant Singh wrote excellent English. I have always admired the simple and clear and graceful English of Jawaharlal Nehru whose Glimpses of World History is a truly fascinating book.

I used to enjoy the DD series on popular science anchored by Professor Yashpal of IIT and well-known Indian actor and dramatist Girish Karnad (who had a postgraduate degree in mathematics, I think). I never missed that inspiring popular science series broadcast by DD. When I was an M.Sc. Student at Dibrugarh University, I watched (alone, I never had a single "girl friend" in India or USA) an inspiring Hindi movie - Swami स्वामी (husband) - based on a novel by Sarat Chandra. (I wince every time I recall a weightlifting scene in that film connected with the beautiful song पल भर में ये क्या हो गया!)

The Man Who Knew Too Much

Today, after reading the study notes on the very funny story entitled "The Man Who Knew Too Much" prescribed by CBSE for CBSE Class IX English course (notes by R.K. Gupta, NEW AGE INTERNATIONAL), I realized that in this amusing story 'the narrator', 'Corporal Turnbull', and 'Professor'/[army] 'Private' are modelled/modeled - respectively - on 'hippy' Y, 'hippy' Z, and Me! I will try to find and read the original story in the CBSE textbook!

J.K. Rowling

I have finished skimming through the pages of "The Casual Vacancy" by J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series. (I have the entire Harry Potter series.)

"The Casual Vacancy" is 'J.K. Rowling's first novel for adults.' Having glanced through the pages of this novel that are filled with sarcasm and banter gives Me the impression that this novel is based on "hippy" Ms. Z/Mary and Me. (A hot scene on pages 379-380 and also a potentially hot scene on pages 456-457 filled with yearning and heartbreak.)

I bought the novel quite some time ago. After flipping through the pages of this interesting novel this morning, I understand the male and female characters in the novel and the message conveyed by the novel.

R.K. Narayan is a delightful Indian novelist writing in English. All his novels are quite short and very entertaining. Nirad C. Chaudhuri's entertaining banter is written in amazingly fluent English. Khushwant Singh's prose is always simple and lucid and all his books of fiction and nonfiction are very interesting.

The novels MY GOD DIED YOUNG and CONFESSIONS OF AN INDIAN WOMAN EATER are very entertaining novels written in astonishingly fluent English by Sasthi Brata.
